Kászim Gázi Pasha’s Mosque

The biggest Hungarian monument of the Turkish era, Pasha Gazi Kasim’s Mosque is a symbol of Pécs. The building is located in Széchenyi Square in the city centre.
The mosque was built in the 16th century by Pasha Gazi Kasim. Its width and length are the same: a hundred steps. Interestingly, nowadays it is functioning as a Roman Catholic church.
