Vasarely Museum

Victor Vasarely (originally: Győző Vásárhelyi) was born in Pécs, Hungary 1906.
The Vasarely Museum in Pécs was opened in his birth place in 1976. The artist lived in Paris from 1930 till his death. You can follow the development of op-art from the varieties of the well-known Zebra (1938), through the gradual abstraction of constructive viewing experience to the geometric, black-and-white constructive works.
