The gilded Hotel Nádor and several others - supported by hundreds of millions of forints - will not open in Pécs. However, the European Capital of Culture program series will attract – in principle – one million visitors.

Pécs | Thanks to the ECC investments, the number of orders from Zsolnay pyrogranite factory are expected to significantly rise.
At the same time, we must realize that the constructor of the biggest project (Zsolnay Cultural Quarter) has not contracted with the factory yet.

PÉCS | Three four-star hotels will surely be ready to accomodate guests in the year of ECC.

The four-star hotel’s handing over in Búza Square will be in 2010. Its topping-out ceremony was held yesterday.
Pécs will have a new hotel, which is really important considering 2010, when several visitors will arrive at the centre of South Transdanubia in connection with ECC.
At the ceremony Mayor Zsolt Páva emphasized the importance of the hotel and the neighbouring office-block and the shopping centre.

Pécs | Opening a new four-star hotel does not occur often in the county town.
Recently, Corso Hotel is continuously rising in Búza Square in front of the public eyes. Moreover, the Hotel Manager has already been appointed.
